Our Story
Both Amy and Barrie started out as Creative Memories consultants - this is where they met, developed their friendship and realized their similarities.
Both love photography and understand the importance of family history and memory keeping. They share a passion for helping people preserve and share their memories. Those who have attended our crops quickly become friends!
Amy, a mom of 2 college student, stays busy with her business, A Crafty Goat , creating unique, hand-crafted decor. When not crafting or scrapbooking, she often travels all over the world with her husband. She also manages marketing, contracts and communication for SERENITY COTTAGE - a beautiful scrapbooking and crafting retreat located in Basye, VA.
Barrie is the Office Manager at a Physical Therapy office. She has two adult children and three granddaughters. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, doodling and sketching.
Both Barrie and Amy are Ambassadors for FOREVER - the solution for safe, generational photo storage, photo sharing, photo conversion and digital scrapbooking.
Together, they have created Get Me Away Crops and Weekend Retreats, where they strive to provide a quality crop with a fun, friendly atmosphere!
